Ombre hair, ombre cakes, ombre bridesmaids, I adore it all! The ombre trend has been popular for a couple of wedding seasons and doesn’t seem to be in a rush to be leaving anytime soon. It goes hand in hand with the watercolor trend that is ever so popular right now. There’s no season or theme that it doesn’t lend itself to. Are you still loving ombre?
I won’t say that I’m over flowers, because that would be insane and downright blasphemous, but I will say that they have definitely moved over to make room for gorgeous, lush garlands full of greenery. I cannot get enough of this 2014 wedding trend. Some brides are totally bypassing traditional floral centerpieces for voluminous, green garlands running down the entire table scape, it’s like a snack for your eyes. And it doesn’t stop there, one of my favorite ways to see this new trend is hanging from tent tops along with the draping, so rich and amazing. If you love flowers and need them at your wedding, and who could blame you, but want a taste of this trend, how about just hanging from the groom and bride’s chair? What do you think of more green and less floral?
Blush, mint, pink, peach and lavender…these are hugely popular colors we are seeing girls choose in the 2014 wedding season. Brides are LOVING anything in the pastel family, making it one of this years biggest trends. These colors are perfect for garden and beach weddings for this spring and summer. Paired with flowy dresses, lush wildflowers and soft candlelight, it’s the definition of romance. We love it most when accented with silver or gold for a little taste of glam.
One of the most popular wedding trends in 2014 is watercolor, from wedding invites to cakes and everything in between, and I for one am LOVING it. Watercolor details just seem to overflow with romance, whimsy and gorgeous color. One of the best things about this trend is that it can fit into almost any theme, from rustic with lighter, more romantic colors to modern using brighter colors paired with black and white details. This trend is sure to find it’s place in future wedding seasons.
