Wedding Wednesday…Featured: Laura & Kenny’s Wedding on Style Me Pretty!

So many details and dreams have come together to make Laura and Kenny’s amazing wedding at Saltwater Farm a most memorable occasion!  Saltwater Farm, in the  beautiful state of Connecticut, was the perfect venue for their elegant rustic vintage wedding.  Antique amenities were provided by  Sassafras Vintage. Not only was Laura and Kenny’s wedding so dreamy, but True Event was especially enamored with the colors they chose – our favorite combination of yellow and gray. Sophistication ruled the day!  We are so excited to see Laura and Kenny’s wedding featured on Style Me Pretty.

Wedding Wednesday… Honeymoon Dreamin’

honeymoon

Let me just start by saying how jealous I am of you brides who are probably starting or at least dreaming of their honeymoons right now! I loved planning our wedding but I LOVED planning our honeymoon to St. Lucia. Shopping for breezy beach coverups, beautiful sundresses, fun sandals and sunny swimsuits was just what I needed to de-stress from my wedding to-do list. Now is the time to start thinking about your packing list for that little getaway with your sweetheart, whether you’re heading to the islands, hiking in Europe or sneaking away to a weekend retreat stateside… just make sure to leave all your cares at home!

Wedding Wednesday… Featured: Allison and Don’s Wedding on Style Me Pretty

We could not be more excited to finally share Allison and Don’s incredible wedding at Riverside Farm! Their gorgeous day was set amongst the breathtaking grounds of Riverside Farm in Pittsfield, Vermont last September. Every last detail was executed to perfection, creating an unforgettable environment. Allison and Don wanted to blend elegant touches with the natural and rustic landscape throughout the ceremony and reception; Using gorgeous raspberry, green and brown colors, a rustic elegant feel was achieved by blending vintage crystal chandeliers with rich brown farmhouse tables and elegant and natural floral centerpieces mixed with warm flickering candlelight. Personal touches like the Vermont Postcards Allison had collected that were used for the guestbook or the escort card display hung between a pair of skis, reflecting their love of skiing, really welcomed guests and made everyone feel like they were part of a very special day. The entire night was such a joy to be a part of and was captured so wonderfully by David Robbins Photography! Congrats to the happy couple, Allison and Don!

Wedding Wednesday… Flower Power

(1/2/3/4/5)

I simply can’t get enough of all the floral inspiration I’ve been seeing this season! I love the idea of incorporating beautiful florals into your big day, perfect for a Spring or Summer wedding. Adding them in the most unexpected ways is even better! Wrap a simple vine or garland around the tops of the bride and groom’s chair or around a big balloon string for that extra pop. Paper straws are still a delightful accessory to any signature drink so why not have some pretty floral pattern straws? Extra points if your signature drink has edible flowers! Or how about a popsicle bar featuring edible flowers in the actual popsicles? And everyone knows a way to a bridesmaid’s heart is by giving her a flowery dress she’ll actually wear again and again!

xoxo, Laura
