Voted one of the “Top 50 Wedding Venues in the US”, Saltwater Farm Vineyard is pure wedding bliss. Set among 100 acres, 15 of which are full of lush vineyards, your guests will be in awe of their surroundings not to mention how dreamy your wedding photographs will be. Our brides have had some of the most gorgeous and unforgettable moments at Saltwater Farm Vineyard. This venue offers an ambiance that is hard to beat and even harder to find.
Choosing the venue for your wedding dictates so much about your big day. For starters, a lot of times it completely narrows down your actual date, your dream venue can book up a year in advance, so once you get that ring, start doing your research. And on a design level, your venue completely sets the stage for the feel and look of your day. For example, I probably wouldn’t suggest throwing a beachy wedding in the woods or an overly rustic wedding in a modern setting. You have to work with what you got. We’ve seen A LOT of venues and we want to share our knowledge, that’s what friends are for right? We have to start out with one of the best, The Ocean House. A five star iconic New England seaside resort set in Watch Hill, Rhode Island with views of the atlantic, just typing the name makes me want to jump in my car and retreat there for a weekend. You can hold your reception with in their elegant ballroom or plan for a gorgeous tented wedding with the ocean as your backdrop. The Ocean House aims to please and always hits the mark. If a New England wedding is your jam, make sure to take a peek at this gem, and thank me later when you realize Taylor Swift is this hotels neighbor, might be my favorite perk.
It’s your BIG DAY, the day you you’ve been dreaming of your entire life, basically you’re the stars of this power house production known as your wedding. Every detail counts, especially ones surrounding you, the bride and groom. One of my favorite and of recent most popular details is the bride and groom chair. I love finding ways to adorn and enhance the place the newlyweds will be sharing their first meal with each other, as well as all their loved ones (aka supporting cast). Flowers are ALWAYS my go to, whether it be blooms or greens. Sweet signage is also a fun add on. Another eclectic change up that is one of my favs is using entirely different seating for the bride and groom, vintage chairs, a bench, maybe a love seat? The options are endless and can lend them selves perfectly to the look and feel of your superstar wedding.
One of the best things about 2015 is that July 4th lands on a Saturday! For those of us who love celebrating Independence Day (everyone in the United States who has a pulse) this is music to our ears, specifically Ray Charle’s version of “America the Beautiful”. I personally love all things red, white and blue and have always dreamed of a 4th of July Wedding, a preppy, waspy, Americana overflowing celebration. If you are one of the lucky brides who are tying up loose ends to your patriotic wedding here is a little inspiration. And just know I am seething with jealousy! If you aren’t a bride and just love this day as much as me tailor this inspiration to your own party!
