We are so honored to announce Abby and Billy’s wedding was featured on the cover of Martha Stewart Weddings.

Working with Abby and Billy for their dream wedding was something out of a fairytale book. Abby being the actress and Billy being the screen play writer was a match made in heaven. The couple met while on set working on the film Sex Ed in New York City. After a year and a half of dating, Billy filled their shared New York apartment with candles and flowers and proposed to Abby and the rest is history!

The couple chose to have their dream wedding at Abby’s parents home in Old Lyme, Connecticut. The ceremony took place at the very church Abby had her first communion, followed by a tented reception at her coastal home.

True Event worked closely with Abby to bring her vivid dream for her day to life. The color palette of the day incorporated deep reds, scarlet and mix shades of blues. The bridal bouquet incorporated deep scarlet garden roses and blue thistles designed by Mar. Floral & Botanicals. The guest tables featured mis matched china and menu cards with gothic style calligraphy designed by Abby’s uncle. Gold mercury votives filled with red garden roses, mixed berries and a mix of deep colored blooms reflected the colors of the day.

Tie That Binds designed the invitation suite which featured a floral print that the couple incorporated throughout their entire day. From the guests escort card to the floral back for guests to snap fun shots throughout the day.

We are so excited to be able to share Matt & Lee’s romantic garden wedding in Norfolk, Ct. You can read all about it here! We had such an amazing time planning this romantic and organic garden wedding at Lee’s families summer home in Norfolk Connecticut. The skies cleared just in time for guests to enjoy cocktail hour and the magnificent cheese display by Old Inn on the GreenAfter cocktails on the sprawling veranda of the historic summer home, guests made there way to one of the three Sperry Tents. With LA Tavola  linens and Rentals Unlimited rentals, the decor of the tent matched the surrounding area. With natural napa crossback chairs and wooden farm tables, Hana Floral Design used pinks, white florals and hints of green to bring out the natural elegance with a touch of garden chic.

As guests made their way to the reception tent to find their seats, Noctourne – Sam Hill Entertainment welcomed the newlywed couple to celebrate with all of their family and friends. Old Inn on the Green served an elegant array of the couple’s favorite selections. As the clouds parted and the bistro lights sparkled, it was a night to remember for those who attended.

The Ocean House  is always a great wedding venue for any couple’s big day. Lizzy and Scott truly made it their own and they picked some pretty amazing vendors to execute their vision.

Lizzy looked effortlessly stunning! The gorgeous bride had her make up and hair done by the talented Jennie Fresa and she wore a breathtaking gown from White Dress By The Shore. We adore Lizzy’s bridesmaids in their various shades of pink, they added the perfect pop of color to the day.

The reception was held in a Sperry Tent filled with gorgeous chandeliers by Falvey Lighting hanging from the peaks. The rentals, from Rentals Unlimited, helped to create an overall elegant and chic look. These stunning tablescapes with La Tavola linens are accented with gorgeous blooms by Hana Floral Design. The beautifully crafted paper seen throughout the day, designed and created by Paper Moss, incorporates the right amount of green and gold to the days details. When it came time to hit the dance floor this fabulous couple chose Murray Hill Talent to bring the beats and they did not disappoint.

This beautiful wedding captured by the ever so talented Leila Brewster Photography and JB Horn Film could not have been possible without all the amazing vendors that came together to tailor Lizzy and Scott’s day!

I think the secret to success is a gorgeous agenda.  I live for seeing what the newest agendas look like every year and always buy at least three over the year. My problem is I love them so much I’m scared to use them and scuff them up.  This year I promised I’m going to try harder, I already know which one I love the most and am eagerly awaiting it’s arrival. The only thing better than a new years agenda, is a 17 month one that you can start using in the current year, there’s no waiting for January 1st to crack that baby open. What’s your pick????
