Style Me Pretty Feature… Alana & Justin’s Wedding

We are finally able to stop and catch our breath today to share Alana and Justin’s amazing wedding that was featured on Style Me Pretty last week! That’s right, another pinch-us-we-must-be-dreaming feature! For even more prettiness, head right here.

You know we love us a modern chic affair just as much as the next person but set it right smack dab in NYC and you’ve made us the happiest gals in the world. Alana and Justin’s wedding was such an honor to be a part of and we absolutely fell in love with the darling couple from the beginning. You could feel their love in every little detail and moments throughout the evening, starting with their emotional first look on the rooftop of their hotel. Then came the tearful vows, over eight years in the making, said amongst friends and family in a romantic candlelit ceremony at the amazing Espace. Cocktails and reception followed, where guests mingled amongst sleek lounge furniture and intimate electric blue lighting and candlelight. We loved all the modern details the couple wanted to incorporate, such as the clear lucite picture frames used for the guestbook and the clear table numbers and vases throughout the reception space. A color palette of white, grey, and silver was accentuated with pops of electric blue and zebra print which worked beautifully with the chic decor and flowers. Guests partied the night away, celebrating the love and happiness of such a wonderful couple. Congrats again, Alana and Justin!

Style Me Pretty Feature… Stephanie & Marcos’ Wedding

You know it’s going to be a good day when you receive a little note from the crew at Style Me Pretty saying one of your  lovely couples’ weddings is featured! Head on over to see Stephanie and Marcos’ amazing affair in all its glory. If you want a little teaser (okay, it’s a big teaser), check out all the gorgeousness below! Congrats to Stephanie and Marcos!

And the most adorable film from Buzz Media that will send you over the edge:

We fell head over heels in love with Stephanie and Marcos’ wedding from the beginning. Taking place at one of our favorite venues, Saltwater Farm Vineyard in the historic town of Stonington, Connecticut, Stephanie and Marcos’ modern, chic affair was a pleasure to be a part of and help celebrate. With the ceremony set in front of the vineyards and the vintage World War II hanger behind them, the location was ideal for an early September wedding. They wanted to play with a pretty color palette of yellow, grey, black and white and throw in fun details such as chevron and polka dot patterns. Hello, gorgeous! Soft grey linens mixed with lucite chairs for the cocktail reception while beautiful buttery yellow linens were brought in for the reception, adding such a graceful pop of color to the room. From Washi tape used to hang escort cards to chevron baskets for the flip flops to the signature cocktails, served with orange and grey striped straws, vibrant colors and patterns were used in every last detail. Fun whimsical features, such as a photobooth complete with props and a candy bar for favors, were a hit with all the guests. The pops of color continued with Stephanie’s bridesmaids wearing the cutest yellow heels with their darling grey dresses and the lovely bride joining them later on in the night, sporting a short white dress and sassy yellow heels. A gal after our own hearts! Stephanie and Marcos looked absolutely stunning as they celebrated such a joyous night with friends and family.

Coffee Talk Monday… Ten Weddings that Set the Bar

We were SO honored and completely humbled to be mentioned today on the Huffington Post, by Abby Larson as she talks about Ten Weddings That set the Bar on Style Me Pretty. Libby & Patrick’s wedding was one of the most amazing weddings I have had the opportunity to style and design!

via the Huffington Post

As the editor behind Style Me Pretty, a wedding blog for the die-hard bride and groom, my team and I have featured over 6,000 real weddings over the course of four years, each with their own unique style and voice, each with their own personality. Here’s a look at some of those weddings that were so good, they have permanently changed the way weddings are styled. That have upped the bar for what it means to have a beautiful wedding and that have redefined what the word chic really means.

Libby and Patrick’s wedding will always be my number one bestie on Style Me Pretty. Planned and designed by Sarah True along with yours truly, this was a wedding that SMP was a part of from the moment he popped the question. We handcrafted ribbon wands and fabric rosettes, we scoured the web looking for the perfect touches like those awesome chandeliers and chair covers along with the pillows and milk glass vessels. We crafted this wedding from the ground up, all during the massive floods in Nashville, which almost forced us out of our venue days before the wedding. Our readers loved watching this wedding really come to fruition, seeing the life that a wedding can take if you really put your heart and soul into it.- Abby Larson via the Huffington Post

Style Me Pretty Feature… Emily & Justin’s Summer Vineyard Wedding

We are so thrilled to see this wedding appear on Style Me Pretty today! Working with Emily and Justin and their families in the planning of this special day was truly a highlight of our season. It is always such a joy to me when I have the opportunity to work with a couple that ultimately becomes life long friends and these two are a special pair! As I watched their wedding video from the absolutely incredible Buzz Media I couldn’t help but well up as Justin carried Emily off into the sunset, like it was perfectly filmed for a movie.  For even more on this love story, details of the day and amazing images check out Robert & Kathleen’s blog.

About the Design: For Emily and Justin we wanted to create the perfect summer winery wedding that was unique to the two of them. The design was a combination of subtle rustic details and classic elegance. We used bold jewel tones of cobalt blue, purple and magenta to warm the interior space of the winery that created the perfect palette against the grey floor and dark brown walls. Emily from Paper Moss worked with us on designing the most gorgeous invitation suite and accompanying paper accessories to bring all of the subtle details through the paper. The escort card board was made of old wine casks that were hand crafted into a frame with hundred of wine corks from their favorite bottles over the years that they have enjoyed and ones that their family and friends helped them to collect. Since Emily has a great love of scrap booking she thought it would be perfect to incorporate that detail into the guest book. Where guests could leave message for them throughout the book that was filled with pictures of the two of them dating back to the day they met at Senior Frogs on Spring Break in Mexico.

From the Bride:
Starting the planning process felt both exciting and overwhelming. With so many decisions to make, we enlisted the help of Sarah True from True Event and other amazing vendors to help us make our vision into a reality. My mom and I are both very artistic, crafty people and I knew I would want to take on various DIY projects as part of the wedding. With the help of friends and family we collected corks for an entire year and used frames made out of wine staves to create an escort card corkboard. I also constructed a scrapbook documenting our love story that served as our guestbook. These special touches are things we will be able to use in our everyday life that will continue to remind us of our incredible wedding day.
