Coffee Talk Monday…MAX Ultimate Food!

A few weeks ago Sarah and I were lucky to attend a tasting at MAX Ultimate Food! WOW we were blown away with the meal and service!  We also got to enjoy some of the yummy savory French macaroons at the Lovesick Expo! Here is a little more information about MAX Ultimate Food!

MAX Ultimate Food delighted future brides- and grooms-to-be with a savory twist on French macaroons last weekend at Boston’s first Lovesick Wedding Expo. The Boston-based caterer featured 6 varieties of the pastel-colored “cookies,: flavors included thyme and wild mushroom,  wasabi and pickled jicama, and the crowd’s favorite, a BLT macaron with tomato jam and even a tiny piece of lettuce!

MAX used these tiny “flavor vehicles” to showcase their unique approach to feeding a crowd. The 10-year old company combines a dedication to ingredient-driven, seasonal menus with an emphasis on innovative and visually stunning retakes of old favorites. Other ideas proffered to Lovesick-attendees included subbing roving food carts for a buffet at a wedding, and passing “wedding cake push pops” in lieu of a traditional tiered cake.

MAX is a full-service caterer specializing in everything from intimate dinners at home to weddings and corporate galas. For more information please visit the website and check out their facebook, or call 617.927.9799.

Inspiration from Anywhere … Grey + Metallic

(1/2/3/4/5)

Grey and metallic is quickly becoming my favorite color combo for just about anything. It can look chic in your wardrobe and ultra luxurious in your home. The trick is to not overdo it with the metallics – start with a neutral base of grey (even multiple greys) and then layer on metallic accents (think mirrors and vases for your home and jewelry and shoes for your wardrobe). I really love this duo because it’s a nice mix of masculine and feminine style, perfect for any decor!

Inspiration from Anywhere… For the Love of Rose Gold

(1/2/3/4/5/6)

There’s a new neutral in the neighborhood (say that 10 times fast) and it happens to be my new best friend. How is it that I lived before I met you, Rose Gold? I want you in every little bit of my life, from my jewelry to my flatware, from my shoes to my perfume. Everywhere. You’re the warm hue that goes with everything and looks beautiful on everyone. I do love you so.

Inspiration from Anywhere… Emerald and Limoncello

(1/2/3/4/5)

I am jumping for joy that Emerald is Pantone’s new “it” color of 2013 and can’t wait to see how brides use it in their weddings. I am loving the deep Emerald hue mixed with an electric pop of color like limoncello, perfect for any wedding. I would especially love this color combo at home, accented with some rustic gold accessories and warm textures. Perhaps I should start collecting some Emerald and limoncello items so I am all set when I have a home of my own to decorate to my heart’s content!
