Inspiration from Anywhere…JLo’s Moody Fake Wedding!

The minute I saw JLo’s Oscar dress I thought, woah bring that deep V up a bit, okay maybe a lot, and that is one stunner of a wedding gown.  I’m a huge fan of a blush gown, I’m almost anti white wedding dresses (gasp).  Her Elie Saab gown was ethereal, soft and full of drama, a winning combo.  Of course I had to play this out, pretend I was celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss and create a fake moody JLo wedding and I have to admit, I fell in love with designing a Jenny from the Block wedding. Now, I just need JLO to sign off and all my fake celebrity wedding guests to show up. #eventgoals

In a world full of viral Youtube proposals, Pinterest and Instagram no one just simply asks someone to be in their wedding anymore, you better come prepared.  That already sounds overwhelming right???  Well, let me introduce you to BOXFOX, a company that does all the hard work for you and you reap the creative benefits.  You simply go on their website and purchase the “Be My Brideside” box and have it sent to your lucky maid or better yet sent to you to hand deliver to her.  If you want to go that extra creative mile, you can even build your own Bridesmaid BOXFOX. Wow, life just got so easy. Take that Pinterest.

Inspiration from Anywhere…Last Minute Valentine DIYs!

It’s no secret I am the biggest fan of Valentine’s Day ever, boyfriend or no boyfriend. Um, hello I don’t need a guy to enjoy hearts, the color pink, sequins and rom coms? It actually sounds like the most ideal girls’ day ever. This year, I’m spending it with a group of my closest single friends and I want to give it that little extra touch, so I rounded up a couple of my favorite Valentine’s Day DIYs. These are all pretty simple and the materials can mostly likely be rounded up by this weekend.  I’m partial to the fresh flowers drink stirrer, I’ve been wanting an excuse to make one for forever! Thanks, Saint Valentine, looks like I’ll get my wish. Hope you all have a day full of love and here’s hoping cupid strikes you but if he doesn’t, just grab your favorite rom com, a glass of wine (adorned with a drink stirrer of course) and your bestie.  Now if only Mindy Kaling was available to be my best friend, it would be the most epic vday in history.

hugs + kisses.
