Last week I was lucky enough to attend a luncheon for the redesigned Pentouse Lounge at the Study at Yale in New Haven CT. This space doesn’t seem to disappointment with the unique decor and lovely views of Yale! We can’t wait to plan a special event at this new designed space!
The Grand Exit of a wedding has quickly become a focal point for brides when they are planning. Flowers petals, confetti, sparklers, old fashion rice, the list of options to choose from are endless and fun. Often times your venue will have restrictions on what they will and will not allow. If you’re venue happens to allow confetti, my personal fav, you next question is how to pass this out among your guests to keep it moving and organized. These DIY Confetti poppers from Style Me Pretty are just the thing. Fun, easy and carries a big impact. Follow this easy DIY and have the exit for your dreams.
I loveeeeeee flowers, to the extreme. If everything could be covered in florals and greenery the world would be a much happier place and every event would be a grand slam success. But sometimes, hiring a florist just isn’t in the budget for smaller events like showers, rehearsal dinners or engagement parties and that is where amazing DIYs like this come into play. I adore HUGE circular balloons and although I’ll always loves a tissue paper garland hanging off the string, a greenery and floral garland is really where my heart is at. I can not wait to try out this DIY from Style Me Pretty Living at the next small event I design or maybe just for myself for absolutely no reason other than this is perfection.
I love a grand entrance and a grand exit even more. There are many different ideas out there for a special exit for brides and grooms that it can be hard to choose a favorite. Sparklers and confetti are some of my favorites and can make a fabulous picture but can often be nixed by your venue. Confetti is the glitter of parties, gets everywhere and is impossible to clean up, sparklers can sometimes be a fire hazard. Don’t let this be your wedding buzz kill, Minted has come up with a great and professional looking DIY that would be the perfect addition to a wedding! A DIY Felt Pennant! You can totally personalize in any color you love that fits your wedding and personal style. Minted does it again.
