We are so excited to share Meghan & Pete’s wedding featured on Style Me Pretty. Be sure to read the full post here.

Meghan and Pete decided to tie the knot just minutes from Meghan’s childhood home at the Madison Beach Club. Not only had the beach club been a favorite summer time hangout for Meghan, but it was also the very place her oldest brother had tied the knot years before.

True Event worked closely with Meghan and Pete to incorporate their love of family and travel into every detail of their day. They designed the dining room with the setting sun in mind, using pops of sunset colors mixed with natural blues, grey and whites. Details included a vintage type writer where guests were asked to give their well wishes to the newlyweds, personalized lawn games, and handwritten vintage post cards indicating where each guest was to take their seat for the evening.

Cocktail hour took place on the sprawling veranda, with striped table linens from La Tavola Fine Linen Rental to tie in the nautical theme for the evening. Fleurescent added pops of color into the reception centerpieces, the bridal bouquets, and the historic mantle of the beach club.

After cocktail hour, guests headed in to the dimly lit dining room which set the mood for the rest of the evening. Guests enjoyed a four course meal from La Cuisine, where the couple chose to incorporate cuisine from both of their backgrounds, including the traditional Canadian “Nanaimo Bars” for dessert.

To end the evening guests headed out to the beach where they enjoyed a warm fire by the ocean and cozied up to a pile of Mexican blankets on the beach.

We are so excited to announce Liz and Bill’s wedding was featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs Blog! Make sure to see the full post here!

Liz and Bill chose to host their wedding at Jonathan Edwards Winery for its natural beauty. The theme for the evening was black tie while incorporating classic elegance. The ceremony was held in the fields of grapes as the Connecticut sun was setting. With bridesmaids dressed in all silky black dresses, the evening was graceful and elegant.

True Event worked with the couple to execute their black tie design into their big day. They incorporated white linen napkins, white with gold rim china, and classic flatware for their table top decor on their natural farm tables. Hana Floral Design used greenery, blush dahlias, and natural roses for bridal bouquets and the garlands down the center of the farm tables. Every aspect of the evening cohesive with the black tie design. Guests dined on some of  Russell Morin Fine Catering most delectable bites, including sweet treats of miniature donuts to end the evening.

Wedding Rehearsal Dinner Protocol

Sarah, the owner of True Event, was featured in Vogue! They have asked the experts their thoughts on the rehearsal dinner protocol. Make sure to read the whole article here.

Are you struggling with who exactly to invite to your rehearsal dinner? Many of our couples wonder if it is proper etiquette to invite everyone to both the rehearsal dinner and to the big day. It can often times be overwhelming to have to accommodate that growing list for the whole weekend. Though, many experts will say if you are having a destination wedding it is best to invite the whole group to the rehearsal dinner.

Sarah, owner of True Event, suggests that keeping the rehearsal dinner to just the bridal party and close family keeps it intimate and prevents this event from becoming a duplicate wedding. A great way to incorporate all of your guests is to host a welcome party after the rehearsal dinner is over. Starting the rehearsal dinner around 6pm, leaves enough time to invite the remainder of the guests to a welcome reception from 8:30m- 11:00pm. The welcome reception should have passed hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and cocktails.
