Inspiration from Anywhere….Easter Tablescapes!

Spring is finally here, which means Easter is just around the corner.  Now, I am not a natural Julia Child so decorating the table is more my thing so I always claim that job early. This year I am especially ready to spruce my table scape  up for the holiday, I’m going to blame this on the constant state of winter I feel like I’ve been trapped in.  I’m thinking springy lush florals, pastels and of course a touch of metallic somewhere in the mix.  I’m toying with a handful of inspiration, which one is your fav????

Tuesday Shoesday…Tory Burch!

via Tory Burch

We’re all Irish today, so let’s wear it with pride. Well the Irish luck starts with your outfit because green and gold aren’t a bad color combo to wear, in fact, it’s pretty gorgeous. When picking the perfect St. Patty’s Day shoes I had to take into consideration that snow is pretty much still covering every green inch of New England.  Tory Burch, never one to shy away from bold colors, had the perfect suede booties to celebrate at your local pub, the Riley Mid Buckle Bootie in, and could this be MORE perfect, the color Irish Charcoal. So kick up your green booties and get throw back a pint with your best mate.

Friday Wine Tasting…Segura Viudas Brut Rose!

With one day till Valentine’s Day what better Friday Wine Tasting with some super yummy Rose Sparking wine! Gents don’t forget to pick up some bubbly to celebrate the lucky lady in your life this week! Happy Valentine’s Day! We just adore you all!!! xoxo

Wine Of the Week:

Segura Viudas Brut Rose

Winemakers Notes:

Bright, light strawberry pink, with hints of salmon, or onion skin, with a pale rim. A fine, abundant and consistent mousse, rising to a good crown. Youthful fruit aromas of strawberry, redcurrant and grenadine. Refreshing on the palate, full of cherry fruit and a light acidity. A soft finish to the back of the palate gives a lovely approachable balance to this very drinkable cava.

Brut Rosé:

Segura Viudas hand crafts distinctive, artisan méthode champenoise sparkling wines according to Cava traditions begun over 100 years ago. Steeped in rich Spanish heritage and situated on an estate that dates to the 11th century, Segura Viudas draws on this legacy, blending it with modern winemaking to create sophisticated yet approachable Cavas. The Segura Viudas wines come from the renowned Penedès region of Spain just outside of Barcelona. Extraordinary wines built for everyday consumption, our flagship line includes Brut and Extra Dry, fruity and aromatic cuvées resulting from an elevated percentage of Macabeo, and the dry, berry-driven Brut Rosé.

Food Pairing:

It is perfect with most appetizers. It is ideal with fish like salmon or grilled tuna where it compliments both in color and flavor. For the cheese course try it with creamy cheeses such as Brie

Inspiration from Anywhere…Last Minute Valentine DIYs!

It’s no secret I am the biggest fan of Valentine’s Day ever, boyfriend or no boyfriend. Um, hello I don’t need a guy to enjoy hearts, the color pink, sequins and rom coms? It actually sounds like the most ideal girls’ day ever. This year, I’m spending it with a group of my closest single friends and I want to give it that little extra touch, so I rounded up a couple of my favorite Valentine’s Day DIYs. These are all pretty simple and the materials can mostly likely be rounded up by this weekend.  I’m partial to the fresh flowers drink stirrer, I’ve been wanting an excuse to make one for forever! Thanks, Saint Valentine, looks like I’ll get my wish. Hope you all have a day full of love and here’s hoping cupid strikes you but if he doesn’t, just grab your favorite rom com, a glass of wine (adorned with a drink stirrer of course) and your bestie.  Now if only Mindy Kaling was available to be my best friend, it would be the most epic vday in history.

hugs + kisses.
