This Thanksgiving we are thankful for so many things but on the top of our list is YOU. We are thankful for all of our True Eventers that allow us to be part of their life events, special occasions and trusting us with their special details. We can’t even begin to tell you how much we enjoy sharing in your joy on these days. So THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of our True Event family.
Turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie and after a nap, Myles Standish sandwiches….is Thanksgiving not the best?!? Sometimes when you’re a guest and not playing hostess it’s easy to overlook the crazy hard work that goes into putting on a feast like Thanksgiving, so it’s always nice to bring a little gift as a thank you to the creative genius behind your belt loosening meal. We’ve taken the ground work out of the equation for you and hand picked a few of our favorite hostess gifts, some DIY, some partially DIY and a couple that are just an easy purchase.
Happy Thanksgiving! We’re grateful for all of you!
With whispers of snow coming from New York, okay maybe not whispers but major breaking news, and our own storm set to come the day before Thanksgiving I realized I am ill prepared. I have enough flip flops to last me through every sunny day until the end of time but nothing for when the white stuff hits. So like any other fashion addict I hit the internet on the lookout for what I now know are called “weather boots”. Quickly into my search I found these J.Crew Sorel for Winter Carnival boots and I could not be more in love! I’m a sucker for a pop of color and this boot serves it to me on a hot platter. These are definitely going to make shoveling my car out of 2 feet of snow way better and definitely more chic.
Target NEVER disappoints with an amazing brand collaboration. Their newest one with TOMS is perfectly timed for the holidays. If you have been living under a rock, never stepped into a Nordstroms and haven’t heard of TOMS then you should know before anything that for every pair of shoes you buy from them they will donate a pair of shoes to a child and on top of that Target will donate $3 (enough money for 3 people to eat for a week) to Feeding America FeedingAmerica.org; or $5 (the monetary equivalent of one blanket) to American Red Cross Disaster Relief redcross.org. As much as I adore giving back I have to also love the shoes I am putting on my feet and these TOMS for Target are my new flame. They’re basic black TOMS but with a little hint of shine to add a little kick to your step. A perfect match for all the miles your toes rack up while holiday shopping.
