Inspiration from Anywhere… Fresh Lilacs

(1/2/3/4/5/6)

One of my favorite things about this time of year is smelling all the fresh lilacs around our house. Is there anything better than a freshly cut bunch of the gorgeous spring flowers sitting on your bedside table? I think not. I think I’m a bit partial to the lavender hues but it’s nice to throw in some white beauties every now and then. How lovely they’d be for a bridal bouquet! Did you know purple is making a comeback? Big time.

Wedding Wednesday… Whimsical Paper Flowers

I love when a bride and groom don’t take their wedding too seriously and add a little fun and whimsy to their details. How amazing are these giant paper flowers? I love the idea of creating (hello, DIY night with your ladies!) flowers for your wedding that are not only show stoppers but are also easy to keep after the wedding.

Make sure you sneak plenty of kisses behind your giant blooms.

It would be worth it just for this kind of shot!

Placing these whimsical beauties on your tables makes a huge statement. It would be really pretty if you used this idea for the sweetheart table!

Wedding Wednesday… Chris and Alyson’s Engagement Party at Chamard Vineyards

We always love a good excuse to visit Chamard Vineyards and design a festive event, so we were absolutely thrilled to be a part of Chris and Alyson’s wonderful engagement dinner in February.  Guests were treated to a candlelit dinner in the wine cellar with delicious food by Gourmet Galley and gorgeous floral arrangements by the talented Hana Floral Design. The wine cellar’s intimate space was the perfect environment to toast to the happy couple’s engagement! Congrats to Chris and Alyson on a fabulous party and an even better November 3rd wedding!

Sit back and enjoy the stunning images captured by Ashley Therese Photography!

Congrats again to the happy couple!

Inspiration from Anywhere… A Bit of Berry

As that wintery chill rounds the corner, I love to see all the pretty berry accents popping up in floral arrangements, centerpieces and decor. Perhaps it’s the New England soul in me, but I love seeing winterberry in holiday displays or rich blackberries sprinkled on top of yummy desserts. There’s something about using berries for decoration that adds a little warmth and ease to any project. Try using them as accents for your wrapping or tucking a few bunches around candles to create a rustic feel for any gorgeous display.
