We are so excited to share Liz and Bill’s wedding featured on Carrots & Cake!!

As we are sitting down to write this post there is snow on the ground and the temperatures are below freezing, but these gorgeous photos byErin McGinn Photography are bringing us back to the beautiful fall weddings we feel so grateful to be a part of. Working with Liz and Bill was one of those fun and exciting experiences that a wedding planner always hopes for. Their fun and free spirits came through with every aspect of planning.

Jonathan Edwards Winery provided the perfect whimsical and garden inspired setting Liz and Bill imagined. The key design elements we decided to incorporate were elegant, classic and black tie. We chose elegant pieces including white with gold rim china, standard flatware, beautiful organic menus. The gold chiavari chairs added a classic touch to the tent and  brought the table design together. Hana Floral Design designed the flowers with the winery in mind. The greenery, soft roses and touches of eucalyptus picked up the organic feel the couple was going for. Liz’s bridesmaids wore all black floor length dresses and Bill’s groomsmen wore black tuxes, adding the perfect elegance to the night.

As the sun was setting Liz and Bill said their I do’s intertwined in the fields of grapes. After the ceremony, guests made their way to an elegant cocktail  hour where Russell Morin Catering provided small bites and delicious wines from the vineyards themselves. After cocktail hour, guests found their seats under the magnificent tent to celebrate Liz and Bill with outstanding speeches, a delicious three course meal, and party on the dance floor with Ariel Music & Events. To finish off the evening guests were treated to miniature donuts and mini milkshakes, what a fun treat!

This Vermont wedding gives you all of the summer wedding feels and we could not love it anymore! Working with Emily and Jeff was a dream and we are so excited to see their dream wedding featured on Style Me Pretty. This wedding is full of fun details, starting with the adorable pup in a tuxedo to the cake truffles at every seat! When we first started working with Emily we instantly got the impression this wedding was going to be organic with touches of elegance to tie in the garden theme of the Hildene Estate where she and Jeff would say their I do’s.

At our initial planning meeting in Vermont our first stop was with Lily of the Valley, where we meticulously planned out the flowers for the day to tie in with the grey colored linens we had chosen for the guest tables. Lily of the Valley did not disappoint on the big day with their gorgeous peonies, the plus side of getting married in June.  In addition to touches of blue in the anemones which would later bring out the blue in Emily’s bridesmaids dresses.  At this meeting we scoured linen swatches for the perfect color grey that Emily had so often seen on her search through Pinterest. The Linen Shop features just the right shade of grey in their collection, which was perfect for the day. The basket weave lanterns that hung about the guests were sourced from Ikea, brining in the garden theme throughout the tent and making the tent feel a little bit more intimate.

All in all everything about their day was pure magic! The ceremony was nestled in the Lincoln’s family home gardens where guests enjoyed the views of Vermont’s sprawling green mountains. After the ceremony guests found their way to the terrace with the mansion as the backdrop, featuring two delicious signature drinks the Ernie’s elixir and the green mountain sparkler a delectable nod to such special aspects of their day. After cocktail hour guests made their way to the gorgeous tent where they would dine on delicious offerings provided by Pangea Restaurant. To end the evening guests danced the night away with Affiniti NYC.

Are you a recently engaged couple looking for the perfect rural Connecticut venue, look no further than Smith Farm Gardens! We recently had the pleasure of exploring this gorgeous venue and we could not have been more in love. This estate is located in the heart of Cockaponset state forest with sprawling fields of greenery.

Built in 1778, the Smith Farm property was used as a small family farm. After the property fell into disrepair Mal and Peggy, the new owners of the property returned the property to the fully functioning organic farm and orchard it is today. The estate offers its a guest on-site accommodations in the main house with original chestnut and oak flooring, original artwork and an assortment of antiques and many other unique aspects to the home. The property offers its wedding guests a venue space for up to 250 guests, multiple locations for your ceremony and plenty of space to customize your wedding day. They even offer a mint condition 1954 yellow chevy pickup truck!

We can’t wait to get back to this space to host your next event with you!

We are so excited to announce Ariel and Ben’s wedding featured on Over the Moon!

Ariel and Ben were married at the historic mansion, Rosecliff, set on the cliffs of Newport, RI. Ariel had always imaged herself getting married at her favorite childhood destination of Palm Beach, but when they found out two of the most important guests were pregnant they decided to keep their wedding a bit more local. The couple being from New York City, thought Newport with its quant charm, and short distance from the city would be the perfect alternative.

The ceremony took place in the mansions salon with the aisle gently candlelit, giving the space a romantic element for the couple to say their i do’s. After the ceremony guests made their way to the mansions elegant stone terrace, boasting with stationary food displays, including a raw bar from McGrath’s Clambakes and an Asian inspired station provided by Blackstone Catering. As guests enjoy their light bites, they sipped on champagne infused with Rosemary as a nod to the mansions 1920’s history.

Stoneblossom worked effortlessly to bring Ariel’s vision for the reception space to life. Tall floral center pieces added dramatic affect to the round guests tables that surrounded the tuscan style head table in the center of the mansion’s ballroom. The wedding party all dined together at the tuscan table with a floral runner down the center of it. Ariel chose to incorporate a modern aspect in to the design of the place setting with the heirloom smoke chargers from Peak. The gold arrezo flatware added an aspect of traditional elegance to the setting, along with light blue hemstitched napkin, found by Ariel herself. Guests hit the dance floor to the ever so talented Stardust Band after they enjoyed a delicious two course meal from Blackstone Catering.

It was such pleasure working with Ariel and Ben to plan their elegant mansion wedding! Be sure to check out their full wedding onOver the Moon!
