Sarah’s advice to newly engaged couple’s planning their destination weddings include, giving your guests welcome bags as they arrive for your fun wedding weekend! We find our couple’s guests always love the welcome bags! Providing your guests with transportation is always important, as it takes the stress out of planning ahead in a foreign place, and makes sure all of your guests are safe! Lastly, make sure to plan events for the weekend that include all of the guests attending their wedding. Most likely they are traveling far distances and they want to see you for more than just a few moments on the big day.
We are so excited to share Meghan & Pete’s wedding featured on Style Me Pretty. Be sure to read the full post here.
Meghan and Pete decided to tie the knot just minutes from Meghan’s childhood home at the Madison Beach Club. Not only had the beach club been a favorite summer time hangout for Meghan, but it was also the very place her oldest brother had tied the knot years before.
True Event worked closely with Meghan and Pete to incorporate their love of family and travel into every detail of their day. They designed the dining room with the setting sun in mind, using pops of sunset colors mixed with natural blues, grey and whites. Details included a vintage type writer where guests were asked to give their well wishes to the newlyweds, personalized lawn games, and handwritten vintage post cards indicating where each guest was to take their seat for the evening.
Cocktail hour took place on the sprawling veranda, with striped table linens from La Tavola Fine Linen Rental to tie in the nautical theme for the evening. Fleurescent added pops of color into the reception centerpieces, the bridal bouquets, and the historic mantle of the beach club.
After cocktail hour, guests headed in to the dimly lit dining room which set the mood for the rest of the evening. Guests enjoyed a four course meal from La Cuisine, where the couple chose to incorporate cuisine from both of their backgrounds, including the traditional Canadian “Nanaimo Bars” for dessert.
To end the evening guests headed out to the beach where they enjoyed a warm fire by the ocean and cozied up to a pile of Mexican blankets on the beach.
It was a picturesque summer day in the rolling hills of Vermont for Paola and Kevin. With the mountains as their backdrop, Paola and Kevin invited their closest friends and family to enjoy a destination wedding away from the city. With 88 acres of organic farm land, Bliss Ridge provided their couple the perfect spot for an elegant organic affair. After the ceremony in the fields, guests enjoyed wagon rides on their way to cocktail hour. The reception was held in the properties antique barn. Misery Loves Co. Catering provided season favorites from herb roasted chicken to porchetta to coordinate with the venues farm to table feel.
True Event designed the space with organic hues, while incorporating aspects of wood. The natural garden chairs were the perfect relaxed fit for the natural decor of the day. Jasper & Prudence Floral and Events designed all white centerpieces to match the white cotton linen used on the guest tables. To end the evening guests enjoyed classics from Sound Buono.
We are so excited to have Megan and Garrett’s wedding featured on Style Me Pretty! We had the pleasure of having, Abby Larson, from Style Me Pretty, shadow us for their big day to get a behind the scenes look at a real wedding from start to finish. True Event brought together a dream team of vendors to execute this elegant, family focused wedding at the rustic Bourne Farm. Also be sure to catch Megan and Garrett’s wedding captured by Elysium Productions featured in this post.
We had the most amazing time working with Megan and Garrett to plan their rustic elegant Cape Cod wedding. The main focus of the day was to be warm and inclusive, for family and friends to feel as though they were a part of the day. Bourne Farm was the perfect location to host their coastal elegant wedding, because of it’s close location to family and its ability to accommodate American Tent and Table Inc’s tidewater tent. Hana Floral Design worked closely with the bride to bring her vision of bright and cheery with pops of color to the blank slate her tent provided. stationary was provided by Bella Figura and Tie Thats Binds bringing the coastal elegance decor all throughout the day. With touches of gold and blues the tent was designed with family and friends in mind, to be an inviting place for guests to enjoy. True Event used gold arezzo flatware, flora etched stemware and blush pink napkins to incorporate special touches to the decor.
