Autumn weddings are my favorite for using natural elements and recycled items to liven up the decor. Who doesn’t love incorporating beautiful materials that are free and pretty? Think about using birch bark, twigs, moss, and even corn husks around your centerpieces to add that “earthy” feel or spray paint old tin cans a gorgeous metallic hue to compliment any floral arrangement. I absolutely love the idea of wrapping up a vase with a paper bag and tying it off with some pretty trimmings!

The day could not have been more picturesque for Kyra and Nikhil’s wedding this past September. Set at the beautiful Shelter Harbor Golf Club, guests were treated to a heartwarming Jewish/Indian ceremony, basking in the late summer sun amongst friends and family. Kyra’s intricate Henna designs were the perfect accessory to her stunning dress and Nikhil’s smile never left his face as soon as he saw his bride. Following the ceremony, the party continued under the gorgeous Sperry tent, decorated with twinkle bulb lights, timeless rentals from Rentals Unlimited and amazing floral centerpieces from the talented Hana Floral Design. Guests dined on scrumptious bites before they kicked off their shoes to the lively sounds of Project Orange. Captured by the lovely Snap! Photography, Kyra and Nikhil’s big day will be treasured forever. Congrats, you two!

My heart stopped when I saw these feisty little flats. I like to call these my “make this week count” shoes because they have a little bit of attitude, a whole lot of spunk and a little peekaboo of a heel. Perfect for putting a little pep in your step as you knock off items on your to-do list and coast into the weekend with style. How would you wear them? With skinny jeans and an adorable top? Perhaps a dressier look with a brown corduroy skirt and feminine cardigan? Both sound yummy to me!
