It was a picturesque summer day in the rolling hills of Vermont for Paola and Kevin. With the mountains as their backdrop, Paola and Kevin invited their closest friends and family to enjoy a destination wedding away from the city. With 88 acres of organic farm land, Bliss Ridge provided their couple the perfect spot for an elegant organic affair. After the ceremony in the fields, guests enjoyed wagon rides on their way to cocktail hour. The reception was held in the properties antique barn. Misery Loves Co. Catering provided season favorites from herb roasted chicken to porchetta to coordinate with the venues farm to table feel.

True Event designed the space with organic hues, while incorporating aspects of wood. The natural garden chairs were the perfect relaxed fit for the natural decor of the day. Jasper & Prudence Floral and Events designed all white centerpieces to match the white cotton linen used on the guest tables. To end the evening guests enjoyed classics from Sound Buono.

Are you struggling with who exactly to invite to your rehearsal dinner? Many of our couples wonder if it is proper etiquette to invite everyone to both the rehearsal dinner and to the big day. It can often times be overwhelming to have to accommodate that growing list for the whole weekend. Though, many experts will say if you are having a destination wedding it is best to invite the whole group to the rehearsal dinner.

Sarah, owner of True Event, suggests that keeping the rehearsal dinner to just the bridal party and close family keeps it intimate and prevents this event from becoming a duplicate wedding. A great way to incorporate all of your guests is to host a welcome party after the rehearsal dinner is over. Starting the rehearsal dinner around 6pm, leaves enough time to invite the remainder of the guests to a welcome reception from 8:30m- 11:00pm. The welcome reception should have passed hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and cocktails.

We are so excited to share Anne and Will’s wedding featured on Carrots and Cake. Anne and Will worked closely will True Event to plan their special day. They decided to host their wedding at the Weekapaug Inn, because of its seaside location and capacity to host all of their special guests. They decided to use use mauve, silver, grey, blues and dusty pinks to grasp the organic and coastal elegance Anne saw for the day. They selected linens from LA Tavola, including baylis rain silver for the round guest tables and the velvet rose runners for the farm tables, that would complement the couple’s style.

Hana Floral Design worked with many different florals to incorporate dusty pinks and hues of greys into the florals for the day. After guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the lawns, they made their way to the gorgeous Sperry Tent, where they dined on some the Weekapaug Inn finest. Press Play provided the guests with upbeat entertainment for the rest of the evening. It was such a romantic seaside wedding for guests to remember for years to come!

It’s that time of year again! We are looking for a hardworking and inspired intern to work with our team.

Are you looking to expand your knowledge of the events industry? Come work with a fast paced, style based event planning company. This person must be ready to work hard and excited to learn about the ever-growing events industry. We are seeking a candidate who is detail oriented, creative and works well in social settings. This person will work with our team to execute high-end events from start to finish. They will work closely with floor plans, rental orders, and all aspects of an event from start to finish. This person also must be available for onsite execution for day of events.

Basic Requirements:

  • Coordination with event producers and different vendors
  • Working closely with our team to plan and execute all logistics of events
  • Complete detail sheets for all vendors involved in the event
  • Work with our team to execute high end events
