Wedding Wednesday: Featured in Grace Ormonde Wedding Style – Angela and DJ’s Wedding

We are bursting at the seams with excitement over today’s amazing news! Angela and DJ’s wedding has been featured in the ever inspiring 2012 New England edition of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style! We are so happy to have been able to work with such an incredible group of vendors and amazing couple.  It was truly a memorable weekend, full of so much love and lots of fun!

It is always a dream for me to work with a couple that trusts me completely in the design process.  Working together with Angela and DJ, we took their vision and really told the story through all of the details.  Every place guests turned they were reminded by the incredible love Angela and DJ share for one another, and their love to laugh and never take themselves too seriously, and it showed starting with the Save the Date, carried throughout the reception with all of the little details, and with the bold palette of colors that warmed the space with so much energy.  Here are some more of our favorite images, all captured by the amazing JAGstudios, and be sure to check out even more images with all the details right here!

Save the Date (created by Angela and DJ)

JAG Studios was also onsite to capture their rehearsal dinner at Abbott’s in Noank, CT, the night before.  Where guests were treated to a traditional New England lobster bake.  Setting the tone for the start of a really fun weekend.

and I just have to share few shots from their engagement session in Boston.  I just can’t get enough!

Tuesday Shoesday… Kate Spade Gets It

via Kate Spade

It’s official. I’m in love. Kate Spade must have had us in mind when designing this shoe: yellow with a black and white striped heel (hello, Zebra)! This shoe was meant for us. Pair it with a toned downed outfit and it’s the only accessory you’d ever need!

Inspiration from Anywhere… The Holly and the Ivy

I’ll admit it, I had the Christmas carol, Holly and the Ivy, playing while I put this post together. I don’t think you can ever overdo it in the inspiration department, right? I love this classic color combo and there’s something about the berries and the ivy that instantly put me in the holiday spirit. I love the idea of decorating your desserts or garnishing something bubbly with a little holly berry to kick off the festivities. The bright ivy green is a nice alternative to the deeper evergreen for a pretty dress – make sure to top your outfit off with some darling sparkly heels (or perhaps yellow!) to welcome your friends and family during your holiday party!

Wedding Wednesday… Cozy Up

I love the idea of having a Christmas wedding and embracing all the magic that this season has to offer. Throw on a yule log and treat your guests to a roaring fire while you say your vows or provide everyone with cozy blankets for a snowy outdoor ceremony! Use natural elements like evergreens, cotton, and even firewood to create an intimate and warm atmosphere to bring the outdoors inside. Think about giving pretty balsam sachets or s’more bundles to your guests as favors or create adorable glittery pine cone ornaments that double as escort cards and favors!
