Our Philosophy…
The Meaning of a TRUE event
artistry
We believe your event should be an expression of yourself and as experienced creative designers we not only coordinate, we create.
education
We believe it’s important to never stop learning. After years of study in all areas of the event industry, keeping current with all the trends is a huge part of our daily routines.
focus
We believe in the client relationship. We are a boutique. We are your team. We, most likely, will become your friends. We do one event a day, for a truly personalized experience.
financial respect
We believe in getting the best bang for your buck. We maximize your budget through relationships with the best vendors in the industry.
experience
We believe in doing. We’ve studied floral design, managed a vineyard, partnered in all aspects of the catering business, and have planned hundreds of weddings and events.
adventure
We believe everyday is an adventure. We love the country, we love the city and we love exploring both — for work or play, every chance we get to refresh ourselves with the latest trends in fashion, food and entertainment.
humor
Most of all, we believe in the power of a good laugh. We always remember to laugh, and never, ever take ourselves too seriously.
teamwork
We believe in collaboration. We will create a family of vendors to work together to make sure you can find joy in every minute of the day.

Sarah
I have always had a passion for design, but it was New York City that really launched my career goals into high gear. Driven by the fast pace and the energy of so many creative people, I found opportunities to study side-by-side with some of the most talented floral designers in the industry, at the renowned Parsons School of Design. Working with flowers gave me so much insight into the impact of color, texture and fragrance and how those elements can transform an event into something magical and memorable. I love working with people. I love making them laugh. I love working hard to execute their vision for the perfect event. I love designing unique and gorgeous events that reflect their own personal style and that are as unique as they are. It makes my job very rewarding and puts a smile on my face every day. Not everyone can say that their job is their passion – I’m lucky that my job is my dream come true. |
Caitlin ~ Senior Event Coordinator / Designer
For as long as I can remember I have always loved accessorizing and I have always focused on the little details that tie everything together from jewelry to the ribbon on a package. As I have gotten older I have enjoyed planning parties, showers and weddings with friends and family. I love to see the look on the peoples faces when they see everything come together. I love photography because it allows you to capture all the details and special moments that are so meaningful…. |

Becca ~ Office ManagerI have a business degree in Management and an obsession for order. I am definitely considered the “Left Brainer”of the bunch. Sarah’s creativeness and vision inspire me to move outside of my comfort level and unlock new ideas. Which is why I enjoy working for TRUE Event as the Office Manager. Seeing photos from the Weddings and Events that Sarah has coordinated and each smiling bride brings me back to my wedding day. The love and commitment that is shared during a wedding is unmatched, and I feel a part of each event and wedding just by being on the TRUE Event Team!
Leslie ~ Senior Event PlannerCulture infused perfectionist. Lover of turquoise. Attention to detail guru. Believer of writing things down in a planner. Mother of three, shall I say more? Passionate professional with a long history of event planning that began in the catering industry. From small intimate dinners with dignitaries to luscious weddings with hundreds, satisfaction is met through design, coordination and execution. Vision…check. Expectation…check!
Paloma ~ Associate PlannerFrom the smiles to the decor to the sweet endings, I have been an event fanatic ever since I was voted class Social Chair by my third grade homeroom. I am a sucker for impeccable styling, bohemian fashion, and getting my hands dirty with crafty DIY projects (I frequently refer to Martha Stewart by her first name in casual conversation.) I love weddings that are crafted to reflect a couple’s unique love story and swoon for unexpected details!
Abby ~ Senior Event Planner / DesignerI love cake stands, more than most people love cake. I love each and every detail of each and every wedding right down to the bathroom basket. I love creativity. Creating inspiration boards sooths my soul. I love color even when the color is white, and you better believe my dreams look like pantone chips lined up in a row. My day job is swooning over weddings as an editor on a little blog called Style Me Pretty, and TRUE Event allows all that inspirational day dreaming to become a reality. I’m an old soul with a passion for parties and a firm believer that the little things are really the BIG things.
Kristen ~ DesignerSome may say I have OCD. I love to organize (lists: they’re kind of an issue), create (DIY + budget conscious projects), and design (where the possibilities are endless)! This life-long passion led me to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to work in an interiors studio at an architectural firm. The enthusiasm and inspiration that comes from doing what you love truly makes all the difference in what you can offer others. Whether it is interiors, graphics, or events, design thinking never changes or “turns off” after a day’s work. As a designer and bride-to-be, I believe in telling a story with details, customizing each special day, and turning a vision into a moment.
Kara ~ Associate PlannerLover of the perfect recipe, the perfect ingredient, the perfect flavor. In baking and events. Nothing makes me smile more then the smell of the salt air at low tide, the sound of the sea grass blowing in the wind, or the first boat to set sail in early spring. It’s the simple things, and simple details, that make my heart sing. Seeing these small details come to life beautifully through events is what I absolutely love about working with TRUE Event.
Laura ~ Weekly BloggerNothing makes me happier than seeing a bride and groom absolutely in love and without a care in the world on their wedding day. When I’m not blogging or helping design amazing letterpress invitations for my brides at my day job, I can be found talking my head off about weddings, from the couple’s love story to every last single detail. I believe corniness is sexy, true love is real, and anything can be fixed by taking a long walk with my dog on the farm.
