Meet Sarah True and the TRUE EVENT Team

I have always had a passion for design, but it was New York City that really launched my career goals into high gear. Driven by the fast pace and the energy of so many creative people, I found opportunities to study side-by-side with some of the most talented floral designers in the industry, at the renowned Parsons School of Design. Working with flowers gave me so much insight into the impact of color, texture and fragrance and how those elements can transform an event into something magical and memorable. I love working with people. I love making them laugh. I love working hard to execute their vision for the perfect event. I love designing unique and gorgeous events that reflect their own personal style and that are as unique as they are. It makes my job very rewarding and puts a smile on my face every day. Not everyone can say that their job is their passion – I’m lucky that my job is my dream come true.

For as long as I can remember I have always loved accessorizing and I have always focused on the little details that tie everything together from jewelry to the ribbon on a package. As I have gotten older I have enjoyed planning parties, showers and weddings with friends and family. I love to see the look on the peoples faces when they see everything come together. I love photography because it allows you to capture all the details and special moments that are so meaningful….

Sarah ~ Senior Event Coordinator
I was born with a passion for design, fashion, beauty and “all things creative”. After designing my own wedding with True Event I was inspired to finally take the plunge and pursue my true passion full-time. I acquired an extensive knowledge in event coordination assisting in the organization of various events at the Pentagon, the White House and the Department of Homeland Security during my tenure as Special Assistant to the General Counsel of the Department of Defense and Secretary of Homeland Security. Those valuable experiences combined with my professional make-up training and eye for style have given me the tools to create unique fashion and makeup looks tailored to the individual and a talent for creating glamorous but understated designs. My work is never plain or cookie-cutter – I treat each event and client as unique, each is an opportunity to turn a blank canvas into a distinctive masterpiece. My experience of living in New York and Rome, and studying at the renowned Glauca Rossi School of Makeup in London have opened my eyes to the infinite variations of beauty and shown me that design possibilities are endless. I am constantly looking for chances to challenge my abilities, push the fashion envelope, and hone my techniques.
