For this weeks Friday Wine Tasting we couldn’t help but share a few things…this yummy First Crush Red from Bedell Cellars in North Fork of Long Island and this adorable picture of Ruth & Joey’s engagement shots from Leila Brewster Photography. This weekend we will be celebrating Ruth & Joey tying the knot at Bedell Cellar! Happy Wedding day Ruth & Joey! xoxo
Wine of the Week:
2011 First Crush Red
This fresh red wine is truly a window into the soul of the vintage. Made from the first estate grown grapes harvested in 2011, the wine is unique blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Syrah, and 10% Cabernet Franc. The hand-picked fruit was allowed to ferment entirely in stainless steel. All indigenous yeasts were used during the fermentation. The result is a wine that is fresh, accessible, and fruit forward without any oak aging. Expressive aromas of red berries, pomegranate, and cherries envelope a soft, plush palate full of tart red fruit. The wine is mouth-filling, with lovely softness, and great long finish due to its lively acidity. You will never forget this First Crush!
And more for your daily inspiration!
