Friday Wine Tasting… Happy New Year!

I can hardly believe that 2011 is officially coming to an end.  It is always a bittersweet time of year as we remember all of the fabulous moments of the previous year and wait in excitement and anticipation for all that the new year will bring.  It is a time of New Years resolutions, goal setting, and new beginnings.  This NYE there will definitely be lots of bubbly, as we ring in the New Year in Boston with friends.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday! Cheers to 2012!

Wine of the Week…

Charles Bove Sparkling Chenin Blanc 2007

$15

What the Experts are Saying: We’ve been gushing about uber-grape chenin blanc for most of 2011, so we thought it only appropriate to include one more at year’s end. This white variety typical of France’s Loire Valley can be produced in virtually every style imaginable; its bubbly expression is exceptionally delightful. Get ready for some goodies, people — we are talking about all kinds of grapefruit peel, followed by exotic spice elements like crystallized ginger and anise seed. The finish is toasty and seemingly endless — like that batch of freshly-baked shortbread cookies you scarfed last week — and tastes far more pricey than the receipt will prove. – Kendra Anderson (Swirl Girl)

Inspiration from Anywhere… Sparkle and Feather

Go ahead. Overdo it. It’s the last night of 2011 so you might as well live it up in style, right? Who says you can’t wear a little sparkle and some feathers in your hair? It’s a night of celebration so I say you can never have too much fun with your outfit. Add some sparkle and whimsical feathers to your attire to set the tone for the new year!

Wedding Wednesday: Featured in Grace Ormonde Wedding Style – Angela and DJ’s Wedding

We are bursting at the seams with excitement over today’s amazing news! Angela and DJ’s wedding has been featured in the ever inspiring 2012 New England edition of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style! We are so happy to have been able to work with such an incredible group of vendors and amazing couple.  It was truly a memorable weekend, full of so much love and lots of fun!

It is always a dream for me to work with a couple that trusts me completely in the design process.  Working together with Angela and DJ, we took their vision and really told the story through all of the details.  Every place guests turned they were reminded by the incredible love Angela and DJ share for one another, and their love to laugh and never take themselves too seriously, and it showed starting with the Save the Date, carried throughout the reception with all of the little details, and with the bold palette of colors that warmed the space with so much energy.  Here are some more of our favorite images, all captured by the amazing JAGstudios, and be sure to check out even more images with all the details right here!

Save the Date (created by Angela and DJ)

JAG Studios was also onsite to capture their rehearsal dinner at Abbott’s in Noank, CT, the night before.  Where guests were treated to a traditional New England lobster bake.  Setting the tone for the start of a really fun weekend.

and I just have to share few shots from their engagement session in Boston.  I just can’t get enough!

Tuesday Shoesday… Kate Spade Gets It

via Kate Spade

It’s official. I’m in love. Kate Spade must have had us in mind when designing this shoe: yellow with a black and white striped heel (hello, Zebra)! This shoe was meant for us. Pair it with a toned downed outfit and it’s the only accessory you’d ever need!
